In a world of increasing
corporate legislation Directors
are sensitive to the company's
ability to meet its compliance
commitments. How does management
demonstrate to the Board
that compliance steps are
actually being followed?
Furthermore, how can management
assess that the means of
achieving compliance is
cost effective? Bevington
Group have found that process
management can be used
to both ensure that compliance
steps are embedded in processes,
and that processes are
efficient. Where compliance
is often seen by business
management as a painful
cost, it is important to
find a way that tests compliance
effectiveness, whilst delivering
business efficiencies.
This workshop will focus
on how to add concrete
business value (in the
eyes of business leaders)
whilst ensuring processes
achieve compliance objectives
(thereby reassuring the
Board).

As CFOs increasingly become
strategic advisors to their
businesses, they are increasingly
asked "how can we
reduce unit costs ?".
This session will begin
with an exposition of some
of the key cost reduction
techniques. This in effect
provides a menu of cost
reduction options. It will
then move to focus a method
which has considerable
longevity - that of process
improvement. So, case studies
will be examined on "sustainable" unit
cost reduction through
process management techniques.
The Bevington Group has
conducted over 300 process
management assignments
and this experience has
been used to prepare a
practical workshop. Cases
have been constructed which
represent an amalgum of
Bevington Group experiences.
Attendees will leave with
an understanding of some
of their cost reduction
options, and a more in-depth
appreciation of sustainable
cost reduction techniques.
