At its core “Lean” is a set of process
improvement methods focused on the elimination of waste, and
the acceleration of process throughput. But to really drive
continuous improvement in your organisation, the Bevington
Group is offering a program which goes well beyond what normally
constitutes a training course.
The Lean Process Improvement Training Progam
offers a series of experiences designed to maximise
learning outcomes. The program includes face-to-face education
with experienced practitioners, pragmatic exercises, site visits,
guest speakers and an active alumni. The Lean alumni is designed
to keep program graduates in touch therefore providing a unique
environment for continued learning.
This program is NOT manufacturing focused, but attends to
efficiency and effectiveness across all workplace environments,
including complex systems like those found in health care.

The Lean Process Improvement Training
Program develops
skills in methods which
are targeted at:
- Identifying and eliminating waste;
- Standardising processes;
- Successfully implementing change;
- Measuring the benefits.

The Lean Process Improvement Training Progam is
delivered over a three
day period in a workshop environment.
Incorporated into the Lean
Process Improvement Training Progam are site visits to companies
which have
implemented process improvement
effectively, and a guest
speaker event.
Following the Lean Process Improvement training program
there is optional mentoring,
and an active Lean alumni
to aid continuous personal
skill development (Lean
alumni events will be limited
to Melbourne, Sydney and
Canberra).
The program encompasses three phases as below.
- Phase 1: Getting
started – preparing
for organisational improvement.
- Phase 2: Engaging
the workplace - identifying,
capturing and analysing
data to find and prioritise
operational improvement.
- Phase 3: Implementing & sustaining – delivering
organisational change
and improvement for the
long term.
