Brett Smith
Brett is an experienced practitioner
who has successfully delivered
XeP3 projects for a variety
of clients in industries ranging from finance through to manufacturing.
These projects have involved
assessing and improving most
business operations, including;
sales, production and production
planning through to distribution and back
office administration.
Brett’s clients include: ANZ; Australia Post; Pacific Brands;
Optus; Bartter Steggles; Khan Bank; Coles Myer Supply Chain; Orica
and Swire Group. Prior to joining Bevington Brett worked in the
manufacturing sector, initially delivering turnkey projects to
industry leaders such as Nestle, Monsanto, Parke Davis, Kraft,
Procter & Gamble, Murray Goulburn, Inghams, Bonlac/Fonterra
and Mars Confectionary, and then progressing into project sales
and process optimisation work. Delivering timely results to the
satisfaction of all stakeholders is what motivates Brett in his
work, and this is evident in the results that he has achieved
for his clients.
Brett’s formal qualifications include an Honours degree
in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration,
both from the University of Melbourne.
Debbie Neilsen
Debbie is Head of Learning & Development
at the Bevington Group. She is an experienced change management
professional with expertise in quality management and process
re-design, mainly in complex service industry environments.
She has proven and significant achievements on both an organisation-wide
and local scale, encompassing most areas of health service operations
including clinical improvement, risk management and supply chain
review in both the public and private sectors. Her principle
change projects have been a whole of business transformation
at Mitcham Private Hospital, a highly successful supply chain
review at Bayside Health (The Alfred), and recently, the highly
successful re-design of flow in the Health Information Services
department at Bendigo Health.
Debbie has a strong academic as well as practical interest in change. With a
background in clinical nursing, she holds a Masters of Applied Science (Innovation & Service
Management) from RMIT University, and a Graduate Certificate of Quality Management
from Swinburne University. She has also lectured post-graduate students at Swinburne
University on the management of continuous improvement for the Graduate Certificate
of Business (Quality Management) course. Debbie is also an accredited facilitator
of the Myers Briggs™ Personality Type Indicator, and she is a Fellow of
the Australasian Association for Quality in Healthcare.
Narelle
Crooks
Narelle is a business consultant
experienced in the areas of business transformation, change
management, opportunity analysis, project prioritisation and
management, coaching and mentoring. Recent XeP3 assignments
have focused on business transformation impact assessments and
stakeholder communication management for IT system change and
transformation at Sensis.
Prior to joining the Bevington Group Narelle was lead consultant
for a number of business improvement engagements within the manufacturing
industry including operations productivity improvement, supply
chain analysis and front-end process improvement. Narelle’s
clients included Cement Australia, CSR Roofing, Amcor Fibre Packaging,
OneSteel, Visy Pulp and Paper and ANZCO (NZ).
Narelle’s background also includes seven years working
within the petrochemical and chemical industries in Australia
and the UK. Specific roles included project management, technical
and solution development and sales.
Narelle has a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours from Royal
Melbourne Institute of Technology.
Nathan Jones
Nathan is a Managing Consultant
with the Bevington Group. He is a very experienced operational
practitioner and has been accountable for delivering results
for a variety of clients. He has implemented successful projects
using XeP3 in Supply Chain, Insurance, Financial Services, Aviation,
Health and Telecommunications sectors. His clients include:
Civil Aviation Safety Authority; Coles Myer; Freemasons Hospital;
Orica; IAG; Sensis; Unisys; Qantas; and Medibank Private. Prior
to joining Bevington, Nathan gained process improvement and
project management experience within the Manufacturing sector
(Amcor and Dux Hot Water). He has extensive client training
experience.
Nathan holds an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from
the University of Queensland and a Masters in Business Administration
from Melbourne Business School.
Stephen Hughes
Stephen has 29 years experience in manufacturing (industrial
and consumer product, automotive
and aerospace), customer service (consumer product and utilities),
financial, supply chain and
health care industries, the last
5 have been with the Bevington Group as a process improvement
and re-engineering consultant in
manufacturing, supply chain and
associated processes.
Stephen has led implementations
of both process changes and
associated management systems.
His key clients include Amcor, Steggles, Swire
Group, Pacific Brands
and Pacific Rail amongst others.
Key to a number of these manufacturing
based engagements has been mapping
of As Is processes and determination of a To Be view based on
identified
process improvement, task restructure
and system initiatives.
He has extensive management
experience across a number
of roles covering industrial
process development and control, quality, program
management of ERP system
(SAP) rollout, customer service, sales and process improvement
whilst
with Southcorp,
Hawker de Havilland, Extruded
Metals, Addax Engineering,
United Energy, AGL and GapBuster
Worldwide. Stephen has an acknowledged reputation for analysing,
facilitating
and implementation of efficient
solutions whilst practicing
sound customer satisfaction,
quality and change management
principles.
Stephen has a Bachelor of Science
(Material Science) degree
from Monash University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Quality
Management
from RMIT.
Brendan
Ryan
Brendan is a process improvement specialist having worked with
various clients across industries, both in Australia and abroad.
Most recently Brendan worked on delivering improved customer and
employee satisfaction with one of Australia’s largest banks
in the Pacific. Furthermore, Brendan recently completed a program
working to deliver greater operational efficiency measures with
one of Australia’s largest fund managers.
Brendan’s clients include,
Pacific National Newcastle, Westpac
New Zealand, ANZ Papua New Guinea,
CASA Canberra, Hastings FM Melbourne
and Superpartners Melbourne.
His major strength is his ability
to adapt to situations and client
needs which is evident when reflecting
on his cliental base.
Prior to working with the Bevington
clan, Brendan held positions
with Hudson Bay Company in Toronto
and the ANZ in Melbourne. Brendan
has a bachelor of Commerce /
Economics from Monash University.
Christine
Burke
Christine is a change management and process improvement specialist,
with clients including Sensis, Members Equity Bank and the Department
of Human Services (Vic). Her areas of expertise include process
mapping and redesign, identification and implementation of change
initiatives and employee engagement.
Christine joined Bevington from the Commonwealth Department
of Employment and Workplace relations. There, she established
excellent analytical and stakeholder management experience
at senior and operational levels.
In addition, her change management experience through policy
implementation and contractual performance measurement has
demonstrated her ability to work with multiple stakeholders
to deliver positive outcomes.
Christine has a Bachelor of Economics / Bachelor of Arts (Politics)
from the Australian National
University and was a Canberra
Recipient of ANU National Undergraduate
Scholarship
Sally Hook
Sally is a process improvement
specialist. She has 3 years experience in the application of
the XeP3 methodology in a variety of industries including HR,
IT & Supply Chain. Sally’s clients include: Austrade,
Pacific Brands and Sensis.
Prior to joining the Bevington Group, Sally worked for Coles
Myer Supply Chain, using the Bevington Group methodology to
implement a continuous improvement program at all Coles Myer
Distribution Centres. Sally has over 6 years experience working
in Supply Chain where her roles included the implementation
of a Warehouse Management System and various other analytical
roles.
Sally has a Bachelor of Business (Transport & Logistics
Management) with Distinction from the Royal Melbourne Institute
of Technology.
Dr Victoria
La’Porte
With a background in academia,
Vicky has extensive experience in training and communication.
Her key area of expertise includes the impact of change on group
mentality and associated behaviour. Vicky has led various projects
in the field ‘changing lives through education’.
More recently, Vicky has been instrumental in challenging and
changing educational policies and processes in order to reduce
inner-city bureaucracy and deliver effective educational outcomes
for clients. Vicky has a PHD from Exeter University, as well
as published articles and books.
Fanny
Lam-Lacoste
Fanny has successfully delivered
XeP3 projects for clients in industries ranging from Aviation
to Banking. These projects have involved assessing and improving
different business operations, including customer service and
sales through to ground handling and back office administration.
Fanny’s Xep3 project clients include: HAS and Khan Bank.
Prior to joining Bevington,
Fanny gained her line management experience in marketing,
communication and airline operation, and then progressing
into delivering change management and skills enhancement
projects to companies in the telecommunications and retail
sectors. She has a Masters in International Project Management
from ESCP-EAP, the European School of Management in Paris.
Based in Hong Kong she
brings capability in Cantonese, Mandarin, English, French
and German.
