Managing Director, Bevington Group
Roger has provided productivity improvement services for many of Asia Pacific’s most respected companies and institutions including: ANZ; AMCOR; Downer; NAB; Perpetual; Qantas; Red Cross Blood Bank; Shell; University of Melbourne; University of Sydney; Virgin Australia; and Westpac.
Roger has been an assignment Director and Steering Committee member on over 60 transformation programs.
Roger has published widely on productivity improvement and restructuring including in Boss Magazine, CEO Magazine, Management Today, Retail World, Marketing Magazine, and The Institute Journal.
He is an experienced company Director having sat on the Boards of a range of enterprises including: E*TRADE Australia; ANZ International Ltd (Singapore); Greenfleet; Lean Planning Services Pty Ltd; and Bevington Consulting Pty Ltd.
He is also a very active contributor to Australia’s charitable sector as Chair of the World Vision Business Advisory Councils in both Melbourne and Sydney, and as Chair of Greenfleet’s Business Advisory Council.
Prior to joining the Bevington Group, Roger was a Group Senior Executive with the ANZ Bank, responsible for financial performance management (Head of Group Performance Management), as well as having major project governance accountabilities (Head of Group Project Centre of Excellence).
CEO, Aware Super
Deanne Stewart joined Aware Super (the new name for First State Super) as Chief Executive Officer in 2018.
Deanne has led Aware Super’s drive to be a ‘force for good’ through its responsible ownership philosophy and focus on providing its members with strong investment returns and helpful guidance and advice for their future.
In the past two years Aware Super has grown to become one of the largest industry funds in Australia. In that time, Deanne has overseen the fund’s strategic re-brand, its successful merger with VicSuper and WA Super, the integration of Aware Super’s financial planning business, and the refresh of the organisation’s strategy and employee values.
Deanne is passionate in her belief that a strong culture and clearly defined purpose drives business success. A champion of diversity and inclusion in the workplace, in 2019 Deanne was also honoured as a Workplace Gender Equality Agency Pay Equity Ambassador.
An experienced financial services industry leader, Deanne was previously Chief Executive Officer of MetLife Australia. She has also held senior roles within BT Financial Group, Merrill Lynch Investment Management in New York, and McKinsey and Company in London.
Raised in Bathurst in country NSW, Deanne holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management as a Fulbright Scholar and she is a graduate from the University of NSW with a degree in Commerce (Finance and Marketing).
Managing Director, Bunnings Australia and New Zealand
Michael Schneider was appointed Managing Director Bunnings Australia and New Zealand in March 2016.
Prior to this Michael led Store Operations teams across Australia and New Zealand after joining Bunnings in 2005. Before joining Bunnings, Michael held a range of senior operational, commercial and human resources roles across regional and national markets, both in retail and financial services businesses.
Michael is committed to developing diverse teams that challenge the status quo and embrace innovation to drive high performance which is critical in today’s competitive retail environment. As a leader, he is known for his collaborative, genuine and honest style and for having a real passion and energy for the Bunnings business.
This has fostered Bunnings’ supportive culture which empowers team members to take responsibility and have ownership in how the business delivers its customers’ a unique and compelling proposition.
Michael believes that team members’ ability to connect with customers and the local community is key to the business’ success and that this requires an ongoing investment in building the best team as well as creating a culture that builds trust, inspires action, develops people and drives performance.
He is a strong advocate for emerging talent and believes in giving young leaders every opportunity to realise their full potential and develop their careers across a range of disciplines within the business.

Owen Wilson is responsible for driving the company’s growth, operations and global investments.
With more than 30 years’ experience working across the information technology, recruitment and banking industries, Owen is a strategic leader who is passionate about building high performing teams and creating personalised experiences to help change the way the world experiences property.
Prior to being appointed CEO, Owen was the company’s Chief Financial Officer for four years and looked after all aspects of the Group’s finance portfolio including strategy, M&A and operations, as well as REA’s Financial Services businesses. Owen joined REA Group from Chandler MacLeod Group Ltd where he was Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary. He has previously held positions with ANZ and KPMG across Australia, Asia and the UK. During his 15 years at ANZ, his roles included Chief Operating Officer of ANZ’s Institutional and Investment Bank, and Managing Director Retail Banking and International Partnerships Asia.
Owen holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Computer Science from Deakin University.
